ALS Calm & Recovery Support

A Quantum TouchVault™ Experience for Comfort, Relaxation & Peaceful Rest

A quiet place to pause, breathe, and simply be present.

Welcome

Living with ALS can bring many changes to daily life. There may be periods of physical fatigue, emotional stress, interrupted sleep, increased sensitivity to the surroundings, or simply the need for a quiet place to rest.

This Quantum TouchVault™ experience was created to offer a gentle opportunity to pause, relax, and enjoy a period of peaceful comfort. Whether you are listening independently or with the assistance of a caregiver or loved one, this Touch may become a calm and reassuring part of your daily wellness routine.

What This Touch Is Designed to Support

  • Relaxation and emotional calm
  • Sensory comfort in a quiet, low-stimulation setting
  • Peaceful rest during recovery periods
  • Preparation for sleep
  • Quiet reflection and mindful presence
  • A consistent daily wellness routine
  • A shared moment of calm with a caregiver or loved one

This experience is intended to complement—not replace—the medical care, respiratory support, nutrition and hydration plans, medications, therapies, and daily routines recommended by your healthcare professionals.

A Gentle Moment

Living with ALS often requires tremendous courage, patience, and resilience.
This Touch is an invitation to set those demands aside for a few moments.
Allow yourself to breathe. Allow yourself to rest. Allow yourself to simply experience this moment.

Before You Begin

  • Choose a quiet, familiar setting with minimal distractions.
  • Sit or recline in a comfortably supported position.
  • Use a very low to low volume. The sound should never feel sharp, pressurized, irritating, or overstimulating.
  • Use speakers or headphones—whichever is most comfortable and appropriate.
  • Allow a few uninterrupted minutes before beginning.
  • Do not listen while driving, walking, bathing, using stairs, cooking, or whenever full safety awareness is needed.

There is nothing you need to accomplish. Your goal is not to make something happen. Your goal is simply to be present.

Today's Touch

Best setting
- Quiet, familiar, low-stimulation environment

Position - Comfortably supported, seated or reclined

Volume - Very low to low volume only

Helpful times - Evening, recovery periods, calming transitions, or preparation for rest

Supportive routine - Hydration and physician-directed care should continue as prescribed

For Caregivers and Loved Ones

If you are helping someone enjoy this Touch, your calm presence may be just as meaningful as the listening experience itself.

  • Help the listener settle into a comfortable, well-supported position.
  • Keep the environment quiet and the volume low.
  • Observe comfort rather than looking for a particular result.
  • Do not force participation. Pause if the listener appears uncomfortable, fatigued, distressed, or overstimulated.
  • Continue all established respiratory, positioning, communication, nutrition, hydration, and medication routines.

Observe Rather Than Evaluate

Rather than asking, “Did it work?”, simply notice the experience with gentleness and without expectation.

  • Did the listener appear more settled or comfortable?
  • Did facial or body tension seem to soften?
  • Did the room feel calmer?
  • Was it easier to rest or prepare for sleep?
  • Did this become a peaceful part of the day?

Some days may feel different from others. Small moments of calm can still be meaningful.

Combining Other Quantum TouchVault™ Experiences

  • Enjoy only one Touch at a time.
  • Separate different Touches by at least four hours whenever practical.
  • During the first several uses, avoid combining this Touch with other intensive, deeply relaxing, neurological, trauma-release, or sleep-focused experiences until comfort and tolerance are clear.
  • If unusual fatigue, headache, dizziness, agitation, sensory overload, or sleep disruption occurs, reduce use or pause.

When to Pause

Pause the experience if the sound feels uncomfortable or if the listener becomes distressed, unusually fatigued, agitated, dizzy, anxious, or overstimulated. Comfort should always guide participation.

When Medical Care Is Important

ALS requires ongoing care from qualified healthcare professionals. This Touch must never delay medical evaluation or replace prescribed care.

  • Continue all physician-directed care, medications, respiratory support, nutrition and hydration plans, therapies, mobility support, and caregiver routines.
  • Seek prompt medical attention for new or worsening breathing difficulty, choking, swallowing concerns, sudden weakness, falls, confusion, severe pain, signs of infection, dehydration, or any symptom that causes concern.
  • For urgent or life-threatening symptoms, contact emergency services immediately.
