Bone Oncology Recovery & Support Guide

A Progressive Touch Journey

This collection of five Touch files below has been thoughtfully designed as a gradual progression.  Please read the following instructions carefully, because the procedure has changed.

Each Touch builds gently upon the experience of the previous one, allowing your body and mind to become familiar with the listening experience before moving forward.

There is no need to rush.

Take your time with each step, allowing comfort and tolerance to guide your journey.

Your journey is unique.

Some members move comfortably from one Touch to the next.

Others choose to spend additional time with a particular Touch before continuing.

Both approaches are equally appropriate.

Allow comfort—not the calendar—to guide your journey.

Your Touch Progression

Step One - Ease-In & Comfort Acclimation

Begin here.

Use this Touch once daily for approximately three days.

This first Touch introduces you to the Bone Oncology Recovery & Support series using a gentle, low-intensity listening experience.

Many members appreciate using this Touch for several days before progressing to the next step.

Its purpose is simply to help you become comfortable with the experience.

You may be ready to continue when:

  • You feel comfortable with the listening experience.
  • The tones feel natural and relaxing.
  • You complete your sessions comfortably.
  • You do not experience ongoing discomfort or sensory overload.

If you would like additional time with this Touch, continue until it feels comfortable before progressing.

If You Need to Step Back

There may be times when your treatment schedule, energy level, or overall comfort changes.

That's completely understandable.

If you feel more comfortable returning to an earlier Touch for a few days before continuing, you are encouraged to do so.

There is no penalty for moving more slowly.

Every person's journey is unique.

Creating Your Listening Environment

Before beginning any Touch:

  • Choose a quiet, comfortable environment whenever possible.
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
  • Support your body with pillows if needed.
  • Keep water nearby if appropriate.
  • Dim the lights if it helps you relax.
  • Silence unnecessary notifications.
  • Allow yourself permission to simply rest.

There is nothing you need to accomplish during your session.

Simply allow yourself to be present.

Listening Tips

For the most comfortable experience:

  • Begin with a low listening volume.
  • Use speakers whenever headphones feel uncomfortable.
  • If using headphones, keep the volume gentle.
  • Remain comfortably supported throughout the session.
  • If a caregiver is present, invite them to remain nearby if additional assistance may be helpful.
  • Use only one Bone Oncology Recovery & Support Touch each day unless specifically instructed otherwise.

If You Miss a Day

There is no need to begin again.

Simply continue where you left off.

If you have been away from the series for an extended period, you may wish to return briefly to the earlier Touches before continuing.

Allow your own comfort to guide your pace.

Keeping a Wellness Journal

Many members enjoy keeping simple notes after each session.

You might record:

  • Today's Touch
  • Your level of comfort
  • Your sense of calm
  • Emotional steadiness
  • Sleep quality
  • Energy level
  • Questions for your healthcare team

Over time, these observations may help you recognize meaningful patterns in your wellness journey.

Your Care Team Comes First

These Touches are designed to complement—not replace—your ongoing medical care.

Please continue following all recommendations from your oncology team regarding medications, treatments, imaging, pain management, orthopedic guidance, and follow-up care.

If you experience new or worsening symptoms, seek appropriate medical care promptly.

Moving Through the Five Touches

This series has been designed as a gradual progression. Each Touch builds upon the one before it, allowing you to become familiar with the listening experience before moving to the next step.

There is no need to hurry.

Some members may feel ready to continue after several days, while others may prefer to spend additional time with a particular Touch. Both approaches are appropriate.

Your comfort—not the calendar—should guide your progress.
